WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PAINTED TRASH CAN?
1 – SILENT AUCTION - A silent auction will be held for the painted trash cans this year, due to the numerous requests from last year’s painting. Visitors may bid on the artwork throughout the day. If at least the minimum stated bid is given, the trash can goes to the highest bidder. Winning bids will be posted immediately after the last Chautauqua program in the Auditorium on Sept 29.
(Proceeds from the Silent Auction will be used to support future projects of the Chautauqua Preservation Society.)
2 – PARKS – Painted trash cans that are not bought in the auction will end up beautifying one of Waxahachie’s parks.
